In the daily use of industrial fans, we usually encounter different problems. When we encounter problems, how can we check and maintain them? Let's take our Mingletec industrial fans as an example to introduce how to inspect and maintain them when we encounter the following problems.

Safety precautions during inspection and maintenance:

1. Before testing, the power should be cut off and left for more than 1 minute.

2. Before powering on, check whether the equipment is well grounded, and whether the wires are damaged, etc.

3. If power-on testing is required, do not touch live parts to avoid electric shock during the process.

4. The working environment must be dry and well-ventilated.。

5. The operator should be familiar with the overall structure of the motor and proficient in using common tools.

Common tools for inspection and maintenance:

1. "Cross" screwdriver

2. Hexagon screwdriver

3. Adjustable wrench

4. Multimeter

5. Power meter

Common fault troubleshooting

Fan cannot start

1. Check the integrity of the power cord and whether the connection is reliable. If damaged, replace.

2. Check whether the PCB board cable is firmly connected.

3. Check whether the PCB board components are burned out or fallen off. If damaged, replace.

4. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of each gear of the speed regulator interface: "0 gear (≥10MΩ), 1st gear (≈6.2KΩ), 2nd gear (≈3.9KΩ), 3rd gear (≈2.4KΩ), 4th gear (≈1.5KΩ)". If the resistance value is abnormal, replace it.

5. Check the coil resistance in the motor (2P plug)

The rated voltage is 220-240V, the rated power is 60-160W, and the resistance is between 25-38Ω is qualified.

The rated voltage is 100-130V, the rated power is 60-160W, and the resistance is between 10-20Ω is qualified.

6. Use a multimeter to test whether there is a short circuit between each end of the sensor input port (4P plug of the motor). If there is a short circuit, replace it.

7. Check whether the output shaft of the motor rotates smoothly. (A normal motor shaft shows obvious magnetic damping, with 12 poles per revolution)

Abnormal noise during operation

1. Check whether the fan blades are installed in place and locked. This often manifests as a sound (metal collision sound) when just starting up or shutting down.

2. If there is friction noise during operation, remove the fan blades and manually rotate the motor shaft to observe whether there is rubbing. (If rubbing occurs, replace the motor)

3. When the fan is assembled under the oscillating function, abnormal noise occurs during operation, check whether the gearbox is faulty. (Replace the gearbox)

Abnormal speed control

1. Individual gears do not respond during speed control. (Replace the speed controller)

2. It always operates at high speed and cannot be speed controlled. Use a multimeter to test whether the speed control input interface of the drive is short-circuited, and check whether the 2P plug of the speed controller is short-circuited. If it is short-circuited, it needs to be replaced.

Vibration during operation

1. Poor dynamic balance of fan blades (mostly due to poor dynamic balance of fan blades, need to be replaced).

2. After removing the fan blades, shake the motor shaft to observe whether the displacement of the motor shaft is too large (if it is too large, the bearing needs to be replaced).
